Megalithic edifices are favourite subjects in the literature of mystery, but untill now nobody has questioned why people in primeval ages exerted so much effort on them nor have we determined a legitimate purpose for their construction. If we evaluate their complexities, we find that their collective characteristic sign is a big quantity of matter. I try to visualize the purpose of the most mysterious megalithic edifice the Nan Madol.

Nan Madol are ruins of unknown antiquity in the Pacific Ocean on the island Ponape of islands Caroline. Ponape seats with neighbouring islands the surface only 347 square kilometers. The ruins on Nan Madol are surprisingly big and consist of hexagonal and octagonal basaltic pillars (it is presented 400 000) imported over the sea from distance more than 24 kilometers. Their size and weight partly surpass the building stones of Cheops pyramid. Some walls are over ten meters high. Majority construction is not on land, but many walls and canals run out into sea, which the edifice close around.

It is impossible to find reasons for this edifice, it was reared on the island unfit for living and has not even one known characteristic which would suggest what purpose it could have been constructed. In some questionable megalithic constructions some though controversial reasons, were found , but with a pile of multi tons poles on uninhabited island even a high-spirited fantasy does not have a suggestion.

So to better understand the edifice, let us imagine that we undertake similar construction in our era. The order would be to manufacture, transport and place 400 000 hexagonal and octagonal basaltic pillars in total weight cca one million tons. Even if the firm could produce 11 pillars every day, it could not complete the order until the end 21st century. The ancients had to manufacture the pilars manually and with copper tools. How would the service agents react for such requirement, there is no way to speculate. The reality and theoretic thinking reveal two different image.

It is impossible to doubt that only rocks built up together from lots of big materiality could resisted to the ground and sea surf. The construction ensued from a rare combination of two energy sources – concentration of energy components of the beach and the sea. In one million tons of rock so accumulated energy from two energy sources, which by means energy components could have been used on different and distant positions.

Obtaining unknown energy and its long-distance wireless transmission – is it possible to give in connection with stone age something conformable? It is incomprehensible and unimaginable, but it is the reality. We must reconcile with it so we are able to understand why megalithic constructions were built, so to comprehend their utility. One important element is missing. The history of our power supply has its succession, first people had to discover electricity, after that construct its sources, power distribution and plenty of others. The primeval man had nothing to detect not even to build, all was and is the part of the nature, he only collected the energy like water from a brook. His piece of knowledge was only that the energy can accumulate in the matter and it was the impetus for megalithic constructions. The megalithic constructions on all continents, from menhirs to pyramids, have the common denominator – accumulation of energy. The diversity of their construction was affected by evolution, local material and energy conditions and requirements on quantity of energy.

From the mentioned warrant of megalithic constructions we can discover only part of the mystery, no less interesting and instructive will be the knowledge of the kind of technology used in the constructions, I suppose that the answer will stem from the continuity of accumulating energy.
